Purchased by the citizens of St Petersburg this B24D was officially named "Sunshone City" and presented to the Pinellas County War Savings Committee at Jacksonville. A total exceeding $300,000 was collected in just two weeks in November 1942 in one of the first Buy-a-Bomber Campaigns.
