One of more than 100 P47 Thunderbolts purchased by residents of Scarsdale, NY through their War Bond Drives.

This P47 was assigned to 386th Fighter Squadron, flown by Lt Lloyd Hutchins and given the additional name of "Mississppi Rebel III".
