"Randy" McCraw was adept at creating his own cartoons that were not based on established characters. This one shows a tank knocking a Japanese sniper out of a tree and may have been intended for a Ventura heading to US Marine Corps unit. In fact, it served with US Navy VPB-135 and initially flew to attack the Kuriles.
The following year, on 7th October 1944 it was listed as missing in action and is believed to have been shot down by Soviet anti-aircraft fire.
