Delivered from Douglas Aircraft Company on 3rd November 1943, this C47 was in England by 6th January 44. It was assigned to the 82nd Troop Carrier Squadron. Surviving the war it was involved in a mid-air collision near Thruxton on 16th June 1945. Although successfully landed, it was declared as non-flyable and thereafter used only for instruction purposes on the ground.
