This Boeing built B17G was assigned to 490BG in mid August 1944 and completed more than 60 combat missions before returning to the USA on 16th July 1945, landing at Bradley Field. Five months later, like so many others, the Fort was broken up and salvaged at Kingman Arizona's Reclamation Plant.
